hey every one, I just joined and I love to read all your comments. as I like to work in metal and worked 11 years as a goldsmith, but had to retire for health reasons, now I would love to get into bladesmithing but I am in need of a building to work in but at the moment lack funds. Some how I will make out. I have made some blades and have done good but most were stock removal, but I have forged some as well but no finished yet. Need to heat treat them and put handles on. Love the forging and have made a wire rope Damascus bar and was pleaded as it was my first attempt at forge welding and I did it with a gas forge too (did a lot of reading and heard a lot of talk that you cannot do forge welding with one. Ha!!!!! worked great for me)
